Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park BILL BAGGS CAPE FLORIDA STATE PARK Lighthouse tours: 10:00 am 1:00 pm Thursday-Monday. Arrive ½ hour early- only 10-15 people are allowed on this tour. There are 109 steps to the top, so bring you comfortable walking shoes! The lighthouse is the oldest building in South Florida built in 1825 to serve as a navigational aid. Other Amenities: One can rent a variety of outdoor pavilions holding from 40 people for $100 to $150 for the largest pavilion holding 80. Some pavilions have electricity available for an additional $15.00 The park has two excellent Cuban/American/Seafood Restaurants. The Boater’s Grill overlooks the docks of No-Name Harbor, a peaceful cove at the tip of the island, and is open at night when the park is closed. The Lighthouse Grill is right on the beach and provides a wonderful island-life atmosphere. For more information call (305) 361-0080. Concession rentals of bicycles, hydrobikes, ocean kayaks, beach chairs and umbrellas Overnight mooring of boats are permitted in No Name Harbor at the rate of $15.00 per boat per night. CRANDON BEACH PARK Beach: Crandon Park has three miles of white sandy beach with a wonderful sandbar for wading that keeps riptides away. Crandon Beach has been named one of the best beaches in America by numerous magazines such as “Parenting” and “Family Fun”. The Lifeguard stations are manned from 9:15 am - 4:45 pm from November to March and from 9:15 am – 6:45 pm from April to October (summer hours) Cabana Rentals: Crandon Park has day cabanas available for $20.00 that includes your own parking spot and relaxation/BBQ grilling areas. All cabanas are equipped with a shower and has locking doors with keys Sea Turtles: Many turtles lay their eggs on the beaches of Key Biscayne. The eggs are collected in the morning by park rangers from Crandon and put in the turtle hatchery. Beginning in August or September the Rangers will hold “Turtle Walks” an excellent program that allows you to be a part of releasing the hatchlings back into the sea. It will take place on Thursdays and Saturdays from 8:30-10:30 pm and costs $5 per person (plus the $5 parking fee). There are a limited number of guests so reservations are a must- (305) 361-6767 ext. 112. Tram: There is a that loops throughout the park with a narrative tour on the weekends. It goes from the Bearcut Preserve on the north side to the Cabanas on the south side of the park. The cost of the tram is $2 for adults, $1 for children. Family Fun Center: On Saturday and Sunday, the Fun Center is open from 10 am-5 pm.

In this 38 acre tropical island paradise, whales and dolphins fly and people have the time of their lives. See lots of thrilling shows and marine life exhibits of South Florida's favorite attraction. A new attraction is Dolphin Harbor, where you can swim with the dolphins. You begin your two hour program by learning about these intelligent and fascinating mammals. You'll then be put in a wetsuit and then slip into the water to meet your new friends. Trainers will be right there to guide you through this once-in-a-lifetime experience. The "Swim with Our Dolphins" program is offered every day, but reservations are required and spaces fill up fast. CRANDON PARK TENNIS CENTER Facility Features: 17 Laykold cushioned hard courts, six lighted for evening play 8 state-of-the-art clay courts, 4 with red European clay, and 4 with green American clay. There are 2 grass courts. All courts are equipped with the newest watering system available. Hard court fees: adults, $3 per person, per hour, during the day, $5 per person, per hour, during evenings. Children are $2 and $3 respectively.
