We are pleased to announce the Keyes Company/Realtors have become the most recent Trustee of the Key Biscayne Chamber of Commerce.

According to a recent article in the Islander News, Larry Gautier, Keyes Vice President, came to the island to rebuild Keyes' reputation as a real estate powerhouse and to re-establish the firm as part of the fabric of the community. "We're in the people business," he said. He describes his job as overseeing the firm's return to the forefront of the island's competitive real estate scene. "Key Biscayne is an important market to us" he said. "We want to reconnect with the people of Key Biscayne.

Currently, Gautier in his spare time, chairs both the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce's sports council and is the Chairman of the newly formed Miami-Dade Sports Commission, which was created to attract youth and global amateur sporting events.

Miami Seaquarium has created some additional excitement for children visiting the park this holiday season with Winter Kids Fest. Located on the event field, the winter play area offers a variety of activities for the entire family.
The fun will include:

• A 50-foot Snow Slide with tons of snow for kids to try their skill at downhill sliding
• A toddlers' snow play area
• A Killer Whale bounce house
• Special appearances by Miami Seaquarium costume characters Lolita, Flipper, Roc the Croc and Romeo the Manatees;

HOLIDAY ETIQUETTE CLASS AT THE RITZ-CARLTON: What better away to avoid social disasters involving children and holiday parties than to give them a crash course in manners, just in time for New Year's Eve. "Elbows off the table" and "napkins in your lap," are just a couple of the etiquette tips children ages six to 12 will learn in "Mimi's Manners" etiquette class and dinner at The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne.

Etiquette expert Suzanne Willis will teach children the basics in social party graces, including dining etiquette, introductions, handshakes and the art of writing thank-you notes as they maneuver through a four-course meal created by Executive Chef Jeffrey Vigilla. The tantalizing menu includes vegetable consommé, chicken and mushroom terrine, petit filet mignon with potato purée and English peas, chocolate mousse cake with raspberry coulis and other gourmet treats.

$48 per child, which includes a four-course meal, Mimi's Manners workbook, a printed menu, certificate of completion and all taxes and gratuities. Class is held at The Wine Room inside The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne. Etiquette class is limited to 16 children. Reservations required.
